We are approaching the third week of Lent, which invites us to bring our parched spirit to the Lord, seeking the “living water” that alone can truly satisfy and sustain us. May we pause to recognize our deep need for His presence, allowing His mercy to refresh our hearts and renew our Commitment to the journey ahead.

For the past few months, J.O.Y. Scripture Group has enjoyed watching and discussing, The Chosen after they beak Open the Word at 10 a.m. Beginning February 20th, the group will pivot to a new study: No Greater Love with Dr. Edward Sri. Each meeting will cover two video sessions, beginning at 12:15pm and concluding around 1:30 pm. Come join us as we journey through this powerful series together!

This weekend is the first full weekend of the month. We celebrate the cultural diversity of our parish by preparing our favorite ethnic dishes for our March 8 Hospitality Sunday. This is a great way to connect with parishioners from various ethnic backgrounds.

Also, please note that due to Easter Sundy we will not have an April Hospitality. We will gather again May in enjoy each other’s fellowship.

Enjoy light refreshments and connect with inspiring women trailblazers who have helped shape our community’s story. Then, embark on an approximately 1.5-mile guided walk through Hawthorne Hill Woods, where you’ll continue to discover and celebrate the remarkable contributions of these leading women along the scenic path.

Please note that the walking portion of this event is not mandatory.

We’d also like to give a heartfelt shout-out to our Music Director, Kurt Meyer. Kurt composed a stunning Bells piece titled “Tranquility’s Restoration” as a tribute to all those affected by the 2021 tornado, including many in our own parish family.

For those who wish to experience this moving tribute, you can watch the concert footage below and read about it on page 6 of the accompanying program.

It is a beautiful testament to the healing power of music and our community’s resilience.

We extend a sincere thank you to all of our ministries for leading us through the Stations of the Cross during this busy Lenten season. It has been truly wonderful to experience these Friday evenings together as a parish family.

Thank you for your time, your preparation, and for providing our community with such a meaningful time of reflection and prayer. You have helped us all walk more closely with Christ on His journey to the Cross.
